Apple claims that hundreds of thousands of iPhones are being used by corporations and government agencies. What it won’t tell you is that the supposedly enterprise-friendly encryption included with the iPhone 3GS is so weak it can be cracked in two minutes with a few pieces of readily available freeware.
Wondering where the encryption comes into play? It doesn’t. Strangely, once one begins extracting data from an iPhone 3GS, the iPhone begins to decrypt the data on its own, he said.
Interesting. I could do this so quickly with my current toolset. Anyone else out there have experience with hacking iPhone?
Minneapolis artist, Jeremy Messersmith, played an hour-long show on the St. Paul Terrace of the University of Minnesota campus today. Lunch-goers, music enthusiasts, and passersby enjoyed a free performance as part of the ‘Noontime’ summer concert series.
According to Messersmith during today’s performance of ‘Snow Day’, a song from his 2006 album The Alcatraz Kid, he grew up in the desert. Originally a man from southern Washington State, he later moved in Minneapolis in 1999.
In 2004, Messersmith began playing solo shows in Minneapolis, eventually gaining the attention of Princess Records, a Minneapolis-based company. By 2006, The Alcatraz Kid hit store shelves and songs like ‘Novocain’ and ‘Beautiful Children’ caught the attention of local radio stations.
Since the production of his 2006 album, Messersmith has partnered with producer Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Trip Shakespeare) to release the 2008 album, The Silver City. Sample some of his latest hits now on his MySpace page, or purchase his CDs online.
